Pictured: The 2008-2009 WSHS Madrigals We are the West Springfield High School (WSHS) Madrigals. Webster’s defines a madrigal as “an unaccompanied polyphonic secular vocal composition” that is “part song, part glee” that harkens back to medieval times. From traditional madrigals to contemporary a cappella tunes, the WSHS Madrigals have performed at the White House, in national competitions, at bazaars, weddings and holiday parties. They were recently selected to perform at Walt Disney World’s Candlelight Processional on December 14, 2007.
